Lipodissolve is a medical term used to describe the process of breaking down and dissolving fatty deposits by means of subcutaneous injections of PHOSPHATIDYLCHOLINE (PTC).
-
Lipodissolve uses PTC as the main ingredient to breakdown the fat. Although PTC is naturally found in the body, the PTC used in lipodissolve is derived from soybeans. You should not have the treatment if you are allergic to soybeans. PTC is injected with very fine needles directly into the unwanted fat deposits. The fat is broken down into a soluble form and removed by normal liver and kidney function.

You may start seeing results at six weeks. A recommended three to six treatments may be required at intervals of six to eight weeks apart.
-
The results are permanent when an appropriate diet and exercise regime is maintained.
-
Most patients will experience bruising, swelling and discomfort over the treated area. This can last up to two weeks. Other side effects may include itching and redness. Infection is an uncommon side effect. A conservative dose is administered to minimise side effects. As the symptoms are mild, most patients can continue their normal activities post procedure.
-
As the fat is being removed, the skin tightens over the treated area; meaning there is no loose, sagging skin. This is one of the advantages over liposuction because the process is slow and the skin has time to tighten. Skin laxity may occur in older patients who already suffer from skin laxity.

Individual results may vary. All clients require a consultation prior to cosmetic injectables. This can be done in the same session as your treatment.
